While pregnant with the first of my two children I found it very difficult to find cute and special products for my baby. I found myself shopping online and driving to the cities to find cute and unique items. My daughter was born in October, 2007 and like every mommy out there, I thought WOW what a gorgeous baby... she deserved more than the ordinary and I was frustrated that it was so hard to find adorable quality items. I knew others had to feel the same way I did!
I started dreaming about this shoppe. I found myself looking at empty store fronts and imagining what it would be like to have my own business. One day I called on an empty retail location... one thing led to another and Whippersnappers - a Children's Boutique with Attitude was born.
A little background... I am Jessica, owner and creator of Whippersnappers! I am proud to say that I am an Eau Claire native and I am so happy to be part of this great city's historic waterfront district! I am a member of DECI (Downtown Eau Claire Inc.) and a supporter of the 3/50 project. I support our local community by shopping local, donating to local non-profit organizations and being a sponsor for local events. I discovered how important it is to support your local community. Whippersnappers is locally owned and family operated. It is not a chain nor a franchise, it was built from the ground up by an Eau Claire native and mother of 2. It first opened in January, 2009 carrying primarily baby and toddler products. In Spring 2010 we expanded our size ranges to include up to 6x for girls and 7/8 for boys. We also carry a variety of new mommy and expectant mommy products such as the Hooter Hider, the BellaBand, and the Beco Baby Carrier.
Whippersnappers is a specialty shop! We carry quality items from Deux par Deux, Krickets, Knuckleheads, Le Top, Rabbit Moon, Isobella & Chloe among many others. We also stock a large selection of gift items from Cloud b (Twilight Turtle, Sleep Sheep...), Elegant Baby, Bambino Land, miyim, Trumpette and more! Whippersnappers' focus is on offering products that are very special and unique. In most cases the lines we carry are not available in another store within an 80+ mile radius of Eau Claire. We also love our customer's feedback, we have picked up a lot of our lines based on our customer's comments and suggestions.
We carry over 100 styles of shoes including sizes from preemie through youth size 13 (~5 yr old). Some of our brands include Eleven, Morgan & Milo, Jack & Lily, Itzy Bitzy, Ralph Lauren and many more. We have a vast selection of Squeaky Shoes as well!
